I've saved Geoff Sharrock’s pyramid of effective disagreement and will almost certainly use it...
with a few minor tweaks (e.g. delete "campus", replace "scholarly" with "technical", add "politely" before "... explain its flaws") I will generalise it for my (engineeringy) purposes.
Now I'm retired I cannot be 'cancelled' / cannot ruin my career so I now dare to venture into taboo topics... like c l i m a t e ... where one finds devout pitchforkers even amongst engineers. BadHoms 2 & 3 often used on LinkedIn.

Sorry to hear that this is a problem in engineering too! Mind you seems to be depressingly prevalent everywhere.
