I fear we fall When those who talk loudest of kindness, display none When those who call for acceptance, give no quarter The loose thread in the scarf is pulled The loops and coils that bind us unravel Faster and faster, as the righteous applaud Saluting themselves for their goodness Meanwhile we gaze at our selfies And scream into the digital void.
